My Week in a "No-Buy"

I've been on a "no-buy" for the past 2 weeks...here's how well I did this week:

Yep, going mighty well...

And, Pong decided she was jealous that Tipsy made an appearance last post, so:

Ok, I'm actually going to go paint my nails now.

He Did What?

I had another blog, but, I like tangents and being offensive, so I decided to start a fresh one for polish purposes. While I think this will solve the tangent problem, I doubt that I'll be on my Ps & Qs for more than a post or two. Disclaimer established.

My fiance (hubby as of next week, whaaaat?!) bought polish for me the other day. He may have stolen it, I don't really know, but it is now in my possession, which is far more important than the legal details. I never thought he'd buy me polish, so, for my super-duper, first, amazing, inaugural, stuuuupendous blog entry, I'm going to post a
manicure using one of the Pure Ice colors he bought for me.

Pure Ice Spit Fire & Born Pretty's black crackle.

This was the first time I'd used Pure Ice and since it was a glitter, I can't really tell if the "apply-ability" (heh) is worth a damn, but it's pretty, pink and sparkly, so I don't really care anyway.

I also got to try the crackle polish I received from Born Pretty (www.bornprettystore.com). I'd heard some mixed reviews on it, but I loved it! The brush. I love the brush. It's wide which I find vitally important for crackles. It did take me 2 attempts to get it to crackle like I wanted. With other crackles, I use a thin layer to get it to look like it does in the picture, but with BP, I had to use a thicker layer.

Now I have to decide on a wedding day manicure. I was thinking shotguns and moonshine. If you can possibly think of anything better, feel free to leave a suggestion.
